Same here. I have found that it's dead skin (don't mean to gross everybody out here) off of your arm and elbow that is turning the fabric "whitish" in spots. I have started being careful about rubbing my arm against the material. That said, just like the seats, it is very tough material. I use a damp washcloth the lightly rub the material and the white spots come right out.

I get the same white dead skin spots on the vinyl door panels of my corvette too, gross!

I was just thinking the same thing this morning. I have those white spots as well but only on the handle (where you pull to close the door). I'm going to try hot water using an old black shirt then, scotchgarding afterwards. I think using a white cloth might make it look worse, if the fibers rub off.

I know who can help you with your problem! ...he's what? oh.. nevermind.

Wait, my cousin has a Civic SI he never gets that white stuff in his car, no matter who goes in. I don't know if its BECAUSE it's a 370z maybe it is but he also has cloth seats and never gets it. I know it said only 370Z base owners but I'm just trying to help.

It's just dirt/dead skin. The thing you need to worry about is the fabric wear and tear after wiping it down so often. The same concept applies to washing your car. The more you wash it, the more you rub microscopic particles against the paint finish and make scratches and swirls, which requires buffing and polishing. Unfortunately you can't buff a fabric back to a new finish. :roflpuke2: The only option is to buy a carbon fiber replacement! ;) ...or I guess OEM would work too.

This is as easy as simple as getting a damp cloth and wiping it clean. Personally, I'd recommend a shampoo or something - anything from Meguiars or Mothers will work.

I think it would be relatively easy to wrap that in suede or leather. its a pretty small piece. mine is showing the same dirt.
