e brake handle options

well... i was looking at our interior.. and i'll jsut say it, the ebrake looks cheap... has anyone figured out if anyone offers and e brake boot/handl options for our cars?

figurd that and the shift boot would look sweet in a similar alcantara to match the door insert on the touring

kchu221 10-01-2012 12:17 PM

you can get the nardi e-brake handle, either the aluminum with leather handle or the all aluminum handle like this one...

edub370 10-01-2012 12:42 PM

not bad looking.

may be a dumb question, but where the heck do u find this thing for sale online? im having a rough time finding one for the z

or is this just a "universal" ebrake that will "kinda fit"?

ninja edit: can't find any write ups for even getting the stock on off

this handbrake had to be custom fitted to our cars handbrake shaft.... most handbrakes are to small to even accommodate the size of the shaft of our cars.... the way i achieved this look was that i bought a nrg hand brake and machined the hole to fit our shafts... while doing so it actually made holes on the side of the handbrake and thats why i sent it to tony to wrap in kevlar

its just a universal NRG hand brake that he machined the center out of. he states that he drilled to much and cut thru to the outside, so he sent it to tony at cf element to wrap. its a frankenstein knob that came out amazingly. if u have the machine skills, make it happen

I got it from Top Gaiters in England. They sell on Ebay. They list items for a 350Z, but they are the same e-brake. They have many different colors and stitching. I ordered gray to match. They also make one that covers the whole handle.

NISSAN, VOLKSWAGON items in 350z store on eBay!

I then had a local guy custom make a matching cover for the center console lid.

Sorry maybe I missed it, but if I were to by a new e-brake handle how would I remove the old one and install the new one?

Can you tell me how you got the e-brake boot on? It fits so tight I can't even get it past the release button area.

This is about as far as I can get it...

Mine just covers the base part. Not the actual handle part

Mine does too, but i cant slide it down the handle far enough. Did yours slide down the handle real easy?

Did you have to take your e-brake apart to get yours on?

Thanks for the help. Mine is longer, but I figured it would still slip down far enough to leave 5-6 inches of the stock handle exposed, similar to yours. I contacted the seller to see if he can tell me how this is supposed to fit...

I got this item btw: Black Stitching Fits Nissan 370Z Z34 2009 2013 Leather Handbrake Gaiter Only | eBay

That's about as far as that style will go. This is the style I have:

Top Gaiters sells it also, but listed for 350Z. They are the same.

From the picture, that style seems to be made to cover the entire e-brake.

Yup, and no matter how hard I try, I cant get it to go over the handle far enough to cover up the bottom (end) of the handle.

It's just too short... which made me think if it was in place correctly, it would leave about 3-4 inches of handle exposed. Not sure I'd like that look anyway, but never gonna find out either. lol.

I was just about to post this same question. Everything my Z looks mint except the damn E brake handle.

Chii 02-16-2015 02:22 PM

My girlfriend just bought me a Nardi Torino CF handle for valentines day, it's in the mail now. I will post a pic when installed. There is WAY too little info on this, and it's one of the cheapest parts on this car.

kenchan 02-16-2015 02:44 PM

Are there any that aren't glossy?

cooltoy 02-16-2015 03:05 PM

I am sure they can make it in dry CF.

Looks nice, I have a feeling I'm going to have to drop some coin with them as I had been looking at getting them to do a steering wheel for me as well.

Matching CF.

Chii 02-17-2015 04:36 PM

I need to get an E-Brake boot to go over the new Nardi handle. Anyone know of a website that'll have one? Or is this something I should have made somehow
