OEM Nav A/C question
Hey guys, I have a 2009 with factory nav (not sure if it makes a difference), but when I turn the air recycle button, the A/C ALWAYS turns on...
If I turn the A/C off the recycle turn off... I could have sworn I used to be able to use recycle without A/C Can anyone else confirm if their system is the same??? Thanks! :tiphat: |
The recirculate button is also known as MAX A/C... recirculates air from the cabin thru the condensor and A/C system... normal operation.

I do not fully comprehend my system either. I am always fooling around with the A/C on a trip. The little light that comes on is blocked from my seating position.
I usually turn it on just to verify then turn it off. Good luck. |

I believe that our cars turn off A/C at WOT throttle anyway.... I leave mine on and don't notice a performance loss at all.

In any case, I'm wondering if my settings are screwed or what happened... Or if all 370Z's are set up this way |
Nope... yours is the same as everyone's... recirc'd air goes thru the A/C system.

this has been posted before.
Push in the left A/C knob to turn on/off |

It's just that once you click recirculate the A/C turn on, if you push the A/C on/off button, the recirculate turns off... |

I agree, even with auto controls, I still like fully manual functionality. Can I ask, though, why do you want recirc on without A/C? |

Sometimes it'll just get too cold, and I just want to turn the A/C off (I have TP's so it smells like crap at a light or something) Or if I know I am going to temporarily push it, I'll turn the A/C off (sometimes not at WOT) I know there is a temperature setting too, lol... I use freeze my *** off or the death hot setting, nothing in between, lol |

EDIT: in fact I'm positive my fans keep blowing, I specifically did this just today. It was cool outside and wanted the ac off with fans blowing. pushed the button to turn off ac and fans were still blowing |
