Removing Navigation unit

Hi all I have got a 2009 370Z UK Spec with sat nav, is it possible to take this all out and replace it with the cubby hole type in

Reason being I want to replace my whole sound system and figured this would be the best method as there is a facia panel available currently got want to go to this any info will be of help please
