Painting rear mud flaps

Just installed the Stillen front splitter and EVO-R side skirts. They're flat black with a satin clear coat (solid red car). But now the a$$ end of it looks high.

Default Painting rear mud flaps

Just installed the Stillen front splitter and EVO-R side skirts. They're flat black with a satin clear coat (solid red car).

But now the a$$ end of it looks high. The skirts & splitter seem to pull the car down and the behind the rear wheels looks real high.

Last night I put some black electrical tape on the rear mud flaps to get an idea of what it might looks like, and I thought it looked pretty sharp and helped bring the look of the side more 'together'. Anyone ever done it for real? I figure I can just rattle can them.
