Just installed the Stillen front splitter and EVO-R side skirts. They're flat black with a satin clear coat (solid red car). But now the a$$ end of it looks high.

Painting rear mud flaps
Just installed the Stillen front splitter and EVO-R side skirts. They're flat black with a satin clear coat (solid red car).
But now the a$$ end of it looks high. The skirts & splitter seem to pull the car down and the behind the rear wheels looks real high. Last night I put some black electrical tape on the rear mud flaps to get an idea of what it might looks like, and I thought it looked pretty sharp and helped bring the look of the side more 'together'. Anyone ever done it for real? I figure I can just rattle can them. |

Why not give it a shot. I don’t think I have seen one with this type of set up. If you’re not 100% about it try plastic dipping it so that why if you don’t like the outcome you can peel it off before you rattle can them.

^ what he said. First thing I thought was Plastidip. I did that to my rear valance before deciding to give it a proper paint job.

Well, went ahead and just painted them. Still need to polish them out so they match the blades / splitter, but here are a couple of pics.
It does help tie it all together... |

The danger of bumping an old thread is that OP has not been on here for a year. So no pics.
