I used one of their mounts in my Civic. Not bad.

Do u have to do any drilling to install it near the stereo or is it just a two sided tape?

spearfish25 08-16-2009 11:07 AM

I just ordered one...looks like it clips around the passenger side knee pad. Not sure if it uses adhesive as well but no screws required. I'm hoping it's secure with just the clip around the pad and no tape is needed. I don't want to botch my interior for an iphone mount but I'd love to have a nice place for my iphone.

I'd like to find something I could use to mount a radar detector on the bar behind the seats. So I wouldnt have it obstruct my view mounted on my mirror.

FuszNissan 08-18-2009 01:59 PM

In the 350 I mounted it on the celling of the rear hatch. Clip it on the headliner and ran the cord through the celling to hard wire it. Then I have the hidden V1 display on my dash.

Got my Proclip with adjustable iPhone holder. I must say, I'm pretty impressed. You pay a premium ($60), but it does the job perfectly. It clips easily on the passenger side knee pad (see pics above). The bracket comes with some double sided tape on the inside but I chose not to use it for fear of damaging the knee pad. Even without the mounting tape, it's very secure and stable. It also places the iPhone conveniently close to both the AUX jack and the cigarette lighter. Overall, two thumbs up for no more iPhone sitting in the cup holder!

Post some pics of the setup with the phone in...pretty please

hey spear its 60!?!?! i says $29.95 on the site?.... or did u get a even more badass proclip

spearfish25 09-01-2009 05:35 AM

I'll got some pics in the next day or two. Overall it's very nice...at a premium price. You have to buy the mount for $30 and then an adapter for your phone for another $30 making it a nice round $60. They have an adjustable phone holder that will take both a 'naked' or cased iPhone which is what I went with.

pics to follow

simota1 09-01-2009 05:40 AM

o ok....

Took a while, but here are a couple shots of the Proclip mount and adjustable width iPhone/iPod holder. It's nicely located to access the AUX jack in the non-nav touring model.

simota1 10-01-2009 05:13 AM

nice dood!!! :happydance: they can be bought in black i never knew that....

kenchan 10-01-2009 01:15 PM

dang, that does look pretty nice. it can hold my bb BOLD on those few occasions i need to use google maps. :p

spearfish25 10-01-2009 05:47 PM

Best part is that it can be taken off in two seconds (it just gently clamps around the knee bolster). It comes with some adhesive to stick to the bolster, but I didn't use it and it works just fine.

kenchan 10-01-2009 10:10 PM

^^ that's awesome. have you tried the one that goes on the a-pillar?

Puma0183 11-01-2009 03:02 PM

I have a Ipod classic 120Gb and a Iphone 3g. would the same clip wok for the both of them?

dcrew1x 11-01-2009 03:15 PM

There are 2 things to consider when purchasing these clips.

1. Choose which mount you would like: dash next to the driver side A pillar or Dash to the right of your stereo head unit.

2. The actual clip that mounts to the dash. This clip is specific to your phone/mp3 player so I would say no..this will not fit both your old ipod and iphone. The clips are not adjustable and are specific to your device.

I would suggest getting the dash mount and then separately purchasing some adjustable clip and custom drill it onto the mount to use both.

Puma0183 11-01-2009 03:32 PM

we actuallly its new ipod but its the classic look that has video too, they are about the same dimencions but just wanted to make sure. there is one clip that its adjustable.

Yes and No. I bought the iPhone ADJUSTABLE holder and it has four thumb screws to adjust the holder's width. I went with this as I normally keep my iPhone in a plastic case and didn't want to have to take it out all the time.

The adjustable holder has quite a bit of leeway and I imagine you could certainly hold other model devices with it.

Damn I wish they offered that when I ordered mine. I looked at the drop down list of multiple devices to see something like that. O well.

NewYorkJon34 10-24-2010 09:08 PM

Do they have anything like this that will hold my 120gb Zune player?

NewYorkJon34 10-24-2010 09:31 PM

Nevermind, just ordered, lol will post pics

Jordo! 10-24-2010 11:24 PM

I'd get one if they had a mount for the vent to the right of the console. I don't like either position they offer.

yep, they work for music players but too low for nav use.

im going to be getting the car cradle for my droidx and just use the modshack v2 bracket i made for my nuvi. it has the same ball joint, i thinks.

the one that goes on the a-pillar is functional but kinda tacky.

ProfessorDave 10-26-2010 12:00 PM

I love my Proclip for my iPod touch 3G. In combination with my Griffin AutoPilot (plugged into the power outlet under the glove box), it puts the iPod within easy reach, keeps it vertical, and is always charged.

brucelidat 07-29-2011 03:58 PM

Does anyone know if they have an adapter for Garmin navs or know of any other Garmin nav solutions? I had a vent mount form my old car that fit, but then it blocked by storage unit above the radio form opening.

CBRich 07-29-2011 06:54 PM

How about try their website?

brucelidat 07-29-2011 08:45 PM

Man, $30 for the adapter for a Garmin is a huge rip off. That's $60 total for the adapter and mount. My nav was less than $200 I think, but I don't really have the time or tools to try to make one myself, grumbles...

Arkon AP2T17MM Garmin Nuvi Ball Dual T Mount Attachment | eBay

I found this on ebay. It seems like a cheaper alternative for anyone who wants to attach their Garmin to the Proclip mount. I ordered one and will let you know how it goes.

Navster 07-15-2014 10:57 PM

I used a adhesive disc from best buy stuck it to the side of the console and then attached a suction cup with a phone holder on it.
