Best Fucntional Spoiler?

Hey everyone I tried searching for something like this but nothing could answer my question. I am in the search for a functional yet appealing spoiler for our cars. I plan on doing some track time and autocross in the near future. I have looked at the INGS Z-power wing but they could not tell me if it did anything. I am assuming the Nismo wing does something based on it’s a freak ‘in NISMO. But any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

The only wing that I know for a fact that has been wind tunnel tested is the OEM Nismo Wing. The rest just go by aerodynamic logic and hypothesis. However, any wing that follows a normal aerodynamic logic will provide some sort of downforce at the end.

^^^^ like he mentioned i would vote nismo... nice and appealing and you know its functional ... you can get the evor which is a replica of the nismo OR spend like 2k i think at the dealer to special order a real nismo wing... ive also seen another functional wing but its effin HUGE... the name escapes me right now.... all i know is that the symbol is a butterfly or bug some **** like that lol....

it just hit me... KOGNITION WING :D hope that helps

i think i read somewhere that the amuse wing is functional too

also, like simota mentioned, you can do the evo-r high wing, which is a nismo replica. its just 5 cm higher and 2 cm wider. I would assume since its basically the same shape and similar dimentions it would provide similar down force but i dont know if its wind tunnel tested. Most people walk away with it for about a grand after everything rather than the 2 grand for the authentic nismo. you could contact evo-r on here and ask him. im sure he'd be happy to share any info he has about functionality.

The Seinon NSM wing is a nismo replica and comes in cf. Same dimensions, just doesn't have the center support piece that the nismo has.

I would run APR! A lot of members are tracking with them and they are the only company that directly publishes their numbers... You have 3 choices with APR: GTC-200,300,&500. I can tell you of 3 members here in GA with each one of those wings and we have all noticed a HUGE difference in the cars performance.

My thoughts exactly, I only see applications for the GT300 though, is anyone running another size?

guys does anyone know where I can purchase the aerojacket type 3 wing?

Dunno but the EVO-R high wing looks just like the nismo wing for a fraction of the cost. Might want to check that out.

evo - r makes a good wing and ever since i put it on my 370z it gets held down at higher speeds because before i was like fish there was no down force

The APR's are legit.

Bandit_Kaine 09-10-2012 05:14 PM

Ill let you know if I can break the sound barrier with my evo-r after it's installed :D

I have the APR GTC 200 with risers. Functional and conservative looking over other wings. But you said spoiler.
