How about if anyone who owns Amuse replica parts, put the word "replica" when talking about their parts.

First of all, your 90% copied, 10% argument is the most ridiculous comment ever. There is no legal blanket statement with aero parts. I KNOW all the people you got your kit from and the people who bought parts from them. They even try to show up to our meets / shows and pass their cars off as authentic Amuse kits next to our real customers.

I love how you complain about quality and price, when you've probably never even seen the quality, care and compassion the top JDM companies take to design these products... bring them to the U.S., only to be bought by one guy who decides to copy it and turn a dollar.

Yes, you have a full carbon REPLICA of an Amuse Vestito kit. Which was modified to your liking. The design was definitely not original, and the quality is questionable at best, even though it may undergo more processes (you think all carbon is the same?).

Please don't make childish remarks when we just wanted to clarify to the average consumer. If you feel so defensive about your fake part, then why bother to post about it? Just enjoy what you paid for, but just let the information be out there for others who enjoy original, authentic designs...
Ahhh excuse you, your original post was nothing but a bash post. SECOND, the 10% and etc was purposely posted because you, considering you just mentioned that "aero parts have no legal blank", decide to turn this into a replica bashing thread when all this thread resembles is a updated blog about MY CAR. No promotions of business whats so ever HOWEVER you decide to bring in nonsense comments. Nobody is attempting to make a "QUICK BUCK" as you referenced it.... POWERHOUSE AMUSE simply DOES NOT MAKE an ALL CARBON FIBER KIT. I find it surprising that a REPLICA company made an all carbon fiber amuse kit rather than the original company.

Your company SELLS REPLICA mirror caps and side pillars... THOSE ARE EXACT REPLICAS of NISSAN design... GO BASH YoUR SELF

hypocrite.

PS: All these carbon fiber HATCHES and OEM Carbon Fiber HOODS and Carbon Fiber DOORS are replicas of original designs but yet you don't seem to have an issue with those. If you decide to use MATERIAL being the difference in your stance with this argument, then your absolutely crazy because thats exactly what your accusing me of doing

Finally, Anyway you argue this I will win. I do this for a LIVING, true full time LIVING, "Arguing". Your company site sells replica parts but yet your bashing me. Why dont I go bash your company for selling OEM style carbon fiber parts???? Your doing it to me in my VISUAL THREAD so why cant i do it in every thread you create to sale a product?? Only fair? right
Dumb-a$$ replicated hater

I have a replica carbon fiber amuse kit EVEN THOUGH AMUSE doesnt have a FULL carbon fiber amuse kit....So replica is better bwahaha I also have replica pillars, replica cf doors, replica cf hatch

What a mature response...

I liked it better when you were picking on that girl trying to start a carbon fiber business.

Not sure which of your rants was more classy?

Well WOW I apologize if I offended you in anyway but I am simply defending myself as any-other person would. You dont seem to bash 370ztune, A VENDER, for his thread bashing ON THE THREAD I STARTED, so it shows you have a personal issue of some sort with me/CFE when we, to my knowledge, have never attacked/bashed/insulted you.

I am only trying to make a valid point about replicas. MOST OF THE AFTERMARKET PARTS out there are REPLICATED from OEM design HOWEVER made with CARBON FIBER which isnt offered by NISSAN. HOWEVER, this is accepted by all and I agree it should because your receiving parts that are modified/development using material that the original source "NISSAN" doesn't offer. That is the EXACT same process with replica cf amuse kits. I simply wanted to build a FULL CARBON FIBER CAR, something I WANTED to accomplish WAY before a 370z even existed. I simply found a company that offers a full carbon fiber body kit. NOBODY OFFERS THAT OPTION. So a company that developed this "replica" amuse kit is similar in theory to SEIBON MAKING CARBON FIBER OEM STYLE MIRROR CAPS, HOOD, HATCH, DOORS... the material is different but this is acceptable... SO Why is this situation being treated any different?

Im just tired of everybody jumping on this REPLICA bandwagon. AND A FINAL REMINDER, we dont SELL any body exterior parts so again, this thread is simply a visual update on my project.

WHEN IS IT OKAY TO REPLICATE? WHENEVER A MEMBER DECIDES ON ONE PRODUCT RATHER THAN SPEAKING YOUR MIND ON EVERY REPLICATED PART THAT COMES TO MARKET... GO AHEAD AND SEND SEIBON SOME NOTIFICATION AS WELL SINCE YOUR UPLOADING THE LAW AND EXPRESSING EQUAL FAIRNESS WITH ALL REPLICATED PARTS THAT COME TO MARKET, NOT JUST THIS BODY KIT :/

370ztune.com, 370ztune's Company and Site sells the FOLLOWING REPLICAS..

You appear to sound like a hypocrite considering you sell REPLICA parts... So since your friends with Amuse, now its ethically wrong to replica something but yet you promote replicas through your business and profit from it.

I see your point billet and I think its a valid point. If a manufacturer simply changes the material than it is not a replica anymore. So then a fair compromise would be for these other "replica" companies to stop offering the kit in the same material and only offer it in the "other" material that is not offered by the original manufacturer. I doubt this will happen but until then I think they have the right to be bashed (however not on this thread). So that would also give the original manufacturer an option that if they do not want the kit to be copied, then they must offer it in all materials such as FRP and Carbon.

Thank you, My point exactly. The Kit on my car has material that isnt offered on the original. JUST like the factory OEM mirror caps, etc... This kit was made different from material, to finish, to even clear coat finish unlike the original. My point to all of this, ITS A FREAKING CAR PIC THREAD I dont want to see my baby get locked because of TWO members

Only reason I was on the defensive end was simply because I was attacked and the post had no true value to this entire THREAD.....

lol, billet370. You need to chill.

Just my $0.02

There's a big difference between plagiarism and using the source as the foundation of a design. By definition, yes I suppose you could consider those parts 370Ztune is offering as "replicas" but it's implied that certain parts only fit if directly copied from the original. They're not trying to pass off the part as an authentic OEM Nissan part. It's kind of implied for example, that a cf mirror cover has to conform to the OEM mirror to fit correctly. It's physically impossible not to have it mimick the original piece. There also a difference between a non-OEM "replacement" part and replicating someone elses "aftermarket" part. No one is bashing you for your carbon-fiber wraps for example. It's a fine line and up to the original author to decide what they want allowed. It's very clear that Powerhouse Amuse would not want this allowed. Changing the kit to CF is moot if you don't have the original authors permission or in this case is greatly opposed to such alterations in the design.

You may be tired of the "replica bandwagon," but as someone who designs (buildings) for a living, plagiarism is basically theft of intellectual property and something I take offense to. It's illegal and very much unethical. The replica Amuse are counterfeit products, no matter how you spin or justify it. If I decide to change a few words to a book I liked reading for example, put my name on it and started selling it for a profit. The original author would rightfully be upset.

Arguing this stuff is childish. Everyone, including yourself, knows selling something counterfeit is wrong. People can justify and reason all they want... be it price, color, texture...whatever...it doesn't make it right. No one is attacking you for the great job you did on YOUR car. There's just no need to be defensive because someone called you out on your "replica" kit.
