Caliper color
Had a few days off so I decided to do some small projects. Plasti dipped my stock 18s matte black to match some of the other DIY projects I did.
So here goes the actual question, what color should I make my calipers? I am just painting them, saving funds to boost and buy BBK in the spring. Think of this as a feeler on what color to powder coat. Pictures of car are below, not the best lighting but you get the idea.

I think red is overplayed. Everybody and then some have red calipers.
I already plan on getting the Akebono OEM BBK upgrade package, in the spring, and that will be powder coated. I am willing to spend a few bucks and a few hours of my day to paint the stock calipers and make them look decent.

Yes this!
But if not I voted other because red would look the best with your color combo. If you did go Akebono which one would you get? The red, If not leave it stock because the gunmetal one looks stock in color and not sure if it would show up with blue and black rims. Last edited by 1st; 08-13-2012 at 02:53 PM. |

Stock calipers are nothing to shout about imo, so paint them black so they don't stand out. If anything, it'll match your black accents you already have on the car.

Thanks for the opinions everyone, keep them coming. The yellow seems interesting, might have to request a photoshop of it. Black would keep it clean and not be too gaudy. Everything has a pro and a con.
