One more quick question. If I set my AC on auto. Will it go on/off to automatically set try and set temperature to the desired dial? Or does it just lower the AC?? Sorry you guys, I'm just not an AC person. For some reason it messes with my allergies and I don't want my windows down 24/7

the HVAC system has a micro filter that makes the air inside the car cleaner than anything outside the car

If it is on auto it will always be on just adjust the amount of fan and AC coming through. Living in Vegas, it's either use the AC or die! I keep it set around 82 and up as the AC blows too cold other wise. If you have an issue with allergies just make sure your AC is set on recirculation instead of bringing in out side air. Also don't they have a cabin filter? I know my G does but I am not sure about the Z.

Ahhhhh ^^^^^^^^I see they do. You should not be having an allergy problem.

It's hard to explain.. My allergies are because of the fresh air.. I know.. My nose is all screwed up
Or maybe there not allergies?
When I turn on AC, in my house or car or anywhere. My nose tends to stuff up pretty bad. So if I turn it on in the car it has to be low. To where I'd rather open the windows.

There is alot of heat from the cats the enters the cabin. the way I have found to combat this problem is to shoot the bottom of the car with a product called lizard skin. they have a heat shield spray as well as a sound deadner. I sprayed the tunnel area with these two products by taping off the transmission and removing the exhaust and spray this product on the tunnel area all the way back. it has reduced the amount of heat ten fold and it also acts as another barrier to prevent rust and such under the car as well as making it quieter. I have also seen the stick on heat shields as well but did not go this route for fear of moisture getting under it and making things worse.

I drive with the windows down and AC on. Def problem solved.

yup same happens to me, I prefer windows half or all the way down...but with this car in summer...if I do it...my pits are pretty much soaked and I'm not presentable.

So I cycle AC on and off....or like a boss, drive with windows down and AC on

I'm sorry if this is obvious and not connected to your problems.
You mean if its set to the Right you'll get heat, if it's on the left, you'll get AC (Cold).

I have mine set on Auto for both fan (far left dial) and direction (far right dial) and the middle dial set for 75. No issues with either cold weather or hot weather. The AC will blow cold when the car is first started as I am in a hot climate in Louisiana, then the fan will settle down to a whisper and the air is just right. Same in the cold of winter whenever we get that harsh cold damp air: the fan will blow hot Defrost Air at first, then settle down and blow gentle warm air from the dash vents after a few minutes, all automatically. I learned this trick from my 300ZXTT. It had a similar automatic climate control system that also was a "a set it and forget it" system.

^^Paul-i think hes referring to the center dial options only. If you press the center dial button it changes the options between outside air and recirc....but i could be wrong
