I know the windows are supposed to index down when you open the door to the car and then back up when you shut the door. It seems the index is actioned when the door is opened far enough for the interior light switch to depress. I'm sure many people who don't know about this just open the door right up, the window doesn't drop fast enough and the top of the window scrapes against the roof of the car. I've noticed that the paint in this area on my car is almost completely worn away. Seems to me the window should index when you pull the handle open, not when the interior light switch is activated.
I guess I'm going to ask the dealer about painting the area back over now that I have the car and am patient with the doors but it's still something I have to tell every person that opens the passenger side door. Is there a way to get the window to index faster?
