Ugh, don't use a bra if you like having paint on your car. That's pretty much the worst thing you can do to paint besides coat it with brake fluid.

Besides, you'll look like a 1980s douchebag.

I use the clear Contact Paper you can find at Home Depot or Lowes, etc. Works great for drives or even track days, plus it looks better than blue tape.

Vinyl bras work good. I used them on two previous cars. The key was to place blue tape on edges where the bra contacted and had tension to the body, thus preventing paint marring.

Call me anul, but on my previous ride I had clear bra and also in love bug season used a vinyl bra!

Trust me, when love bugs come around here twice a year they are well worth it. Infact I wouldnt mind a mesh guard to protect rad cooler also, a bit like what the old people have on their car.
