Seibon TS CF or VIS AMS Hood?

Default Seibon TS CF or VIS AMS Hood?

I have been debating on the next exterior mod. The Seibon TS style hood looks really nice (from Flushnismo's pics), but I do like the aggressive rake of the vents in the VIS AMS style.
I will paint the hood black, but leave part of the CF Vents exposed.
Would you 3M the hood after the paint cures?

Your thoughts?

Pictures if you have them.

If you have a good painter paint it I wouldn't think clear bra is a must. Nissan factory paint sucks though and that is why most of us clear bra it. I love my TS-Style hood and have it painted similar to what you are thinking.

Those are nice hoods.

Thanks. I really do like the way the paint turned out. I will paint mine black as well.

I personally have had bad experience with my G35 with a Seibon hood (hood latch broke off and caused $7K worth of damaged, nothing covered, not even an apology, and they blamed me saying that I didn't use hood pins, which is the exact reason why I bought the hood because they told me the fitment was so good that Calvin Wan wasn't using pins on his FormulaD G35 half the time).... ANYWAYS... this is MY personal opinion, not my company's.

As far as my "official" opinion... I say, why not go for something more original and high quality? Something you won't have to worry about quality, functionality, testing, fitment, finish, durability and weight savings?

Varis makes a great hood fitting the style you're looking for. Give us a call or pm if you're interested.

p.s., as for clearbra, make sure to check into 3M's recent warranty policy, they've been kind of quiet about the differences between VentureShield / Scotchguard.

Might also want to check out the new Xpel Xtreme.

Thank you for sharing your experience with the G35 Seibon Hood. That was a lot of damage! Sorry to hear about the trouble and I will take that into consideration.
I am sure the Varis hood is great for build quality, but I don't like the rake of the vents across the hood. Just personal opinion.
Thanks for the clearbra update info!

Any ballpark on the Powerhouse Amuse CF hood yet? That thing is awesome, but currently you just describe it as "expensive" and the price is $0 (on the website).
