Does anyone know how to remove touch up paint on the car?
I want to remove the touch up paint on the car and reapply it with dr.chip . It seem like dr chip wont stick on top of the touch up. Any suggestion?

if the touch up is pretty fresh you should be able to remove with polish pretty easily.
use Meguiar's ScratchX and a foam pad. i recommend this kiwi (shoe polish applicator) pad for doing spot polishing. http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...500_AA300_.jpg http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...500_AA300_.jpg |

Langka will remove it without harming the OEM paint. May take a few wipes, but it will eventually. It's not supposed to work after touch up paint has hardened, but it does. You could also sand it out - go to a body shop supply and get some matchstick sanders.

If it's lacquer touch up paint, like DupliColor stuff you get at AutoZone, etc. then some isopropyl alcohol should take it off.
DO NOT put acetone on your car paint. People will tell you that it won't damage it, but, it absolutely will etch the clear and cause it to soften. |
