I just bought a pair of splitter support rods as a safety precaution. I will post pictures once installed.

sorry to hear that. mine has not sagged.... yet but I know exactly what you mean. The stock bumper is blah without any mods. you have to have something (lip) to make it look attractive. I dont think I can ever go back to the stock look ever again.

This thread makes me sad. Mine has been on for almost a year now, no issues. I'd also go with Ings+ if the Stillen one warps.

I used a massive amount of nuts bolts and washers (especially in the middle). Can't imagine it being more secure, yet it still is sagging in the middle only after a few weeks, however I believe it is the actual bumper itself that is constantly being pulled lower and thus deforming.
Hey MACSIMIZER where and what dimensions are those rods you got? Any info on that would be much appreciated.

Mine has been on over a year with no problems. But I see the lip sagging in other pictures more often than not. I kind of regret getting this lip. The screws should have been the first warning sign, what a joke! I can't believe Stillen is telling you to send the lip to them as if they don't believe you! They need to get on this forum and spend a couple minutes looking at pictures from their customers. That is ridiculous! There are multiple examples here on this forum from different climates and driving styles. A common trend I have noticed is that the members who have a sagging lip are on lowering springs/coilovers. Perhaps the lower ride height is allowing more air to act upon the lip. When I get the money, I will be replacing this splitter with another lip. This is unacceptable and I know it will happen to mine eventually.

Replace it when it warps but until then enjoy the most functional, light weight, durable, relatively low profile, cost effective splitter for our cars. I truly love my lip but like you, I have fears about it warping at times. Driving at highways for extended periods of time like a past poster wrote. It sucks that you don't feel 100% confident on the product. It may very well be installers fault on why certain lips warp but can you blame them if they followed manufactures recommendations and used the kits hardware? All I can say with complete certainty is that you CANNOT use Stillen's hardware for installation.

Stillen may have a design problem as I don't think it's the actual material. Urethane is highly durable, light weight and sturdy. Our bumpers are made out of it and you don't see those warping overtime.

I like the lip a lot, it's simple and clean. Aesthetically, it's great. I'll definitely enjoy it until it warps, if it ever does. Mine is installed with about 12 rivets. I don't think the installation is causing the warping for every "victim" here. I remember when I was handling the lip prior to install, it was bending everywhere and behaved like a flimsy piece of plastic, hardly any rigidity. Now if Stillen makes a carbon fiber edition of this very same lip, they can take my money!

well that would first require stillen to actually get on the forums and communicate with customers......

they really need to provide different mounting hardware with the kit

It's kind of disappointing considering their intakes are so highly acclaimed...

Agreed. Also, If mine warps, I will be replacing it with the Evo-R carbon fiber 3 piece lip. That's the second best, low profile, affordable lip in the market IMO.
