I'm hoping for Black emblems with the CF backing, did we ever get a pic of that combo from a production run?

:icon17: ummmm, there's no way they 'fell off'.

I kind of expected this:

Considering that this was the cf the chrome ones were originally presented with and the fact that you can't use the emblems without the backing piece I assumed it was the default option. Yes, I know what they say about assumption but here we are. :rofl2:

I'm guessing that this was an oversight or simply a miscommunication and that we'll figure it out. I really was excited to get these on the car but c'est la vie.

Any idea when ill be able to order some black ones? Also how hard is it to pop off the stocks and put these on?

Apparently it's not easy, or something you can do with a flathead screwdriver, as the kids who attempted to vandalize/steal mine found out. :icon17:

I have yet to take them off of the Z but I've debadged other cars in the past. It's pretty straightforward if you have access to a heat gun and some fishing line or dental floss. Heat up the adhesive a bit and slowly work the fishing line under the emblem. Make sure that you are kind of pulling the line taught towards you a bit to minimize the possibility of scratching your paint. Any adhesive remaining on the car after emblem removal can be taken off with something like goo gone. Lastly if you do have to use goo gone or other such cleaner don't forget to reseal your paintjob with fresh wax!

Putting the new ones on is going to be a no brainer. It's just some 3M adhesive pads on the back of the emblems.

Partly why I'm interested in these, I don't have to plasti-dip, and CF back, and will cover up some of the cuts in the plastic behind the emblem. :icon17:

If I came out and saw this in the morning I'd probably have an aneurysm!

The worst I ever had happen was one of the local kids dropped his bike into the door of my RX-8. He didn't have rubber handlebar grips so the metal end of his handlebar left a perfect O dented in the side of my door. I nearly fainted when I saw it the next morning but at least that was an accident. What happened to your car is just blatant vandalism!

Apparently it's a problem in the local area, when the cop came by for the report, he said there have been 18 other cars recently vandalized, specifically stolen emblems. The car across the street (Honda Accord) had theirs actually taken. :ugh2:

I'm glad I didn't see who did it because there would have been dead bodies in my driveway.

Reminds me of the scene in Pulp Fiction where John Travolta is talking about how he wishes he would have caught the punks that keyed his car. :icon17:

The Z store has carbon fiber/silver backed emblems and the regular "Z" emblems but no black ones. They have black pearl for the 350 but not for the 370.

Hopefully, the OP will do a run of black pearl metallic Z front/back emblems because I'm definitely down.

I looked at the ones on the Z store but held off after reading a couple threads where people were disappointed in the fitment. They look like really nice emblems otherwise.

There's a trick with the emblems from the z store. For the sealant to bond, you need to strap it down hard with duct tape (over electric tape) and let it cure for a day or so.

I got two from them. The first one didn't take. 2nd one I was super careful and let it cure for 2 days before removing the tape and it would take an act of god to get it off at this point.

I wonder if heating the plastic on the bumper, and the adhesive on the back of the emblem just prior to mounting would help in this?

Anybody get these emblems yet and have pics installed?

I would like to order some as well, but I get no response from EVO-R. Last question; any word on when the Zstore will get them?
