Default Corbeau A4 racing seats

So I've found the stock seats a bit lacking int he comfort department and am interested in the Corbeau A4 seats. I have a few questions and would love any feedback form people how have these seats.

1. Will I need any special brackets or hardware to install thse into my base/sport Z?

2. Would it look weird if I only installed it on the driver's side?

3. Is the lower cushion angle adjustable at all like the Z seats or does it only slide forward/back and recline?

4. Would one fit in our hatch or front passenger seat somehow (to bring to the shop for install)?

5. Will the Corbeau A4s meet my needs? My main beefs with the stock seats that they don't feel wide enough. The side bolsters pinch my sides/lats in DD and I would prefer them to be further tot he sides or maybe not so angled. The angled sides on the bottom cushion become annoying and make my thighs sore after a while sometimes. I'm not a big guy, 5.8" 175lbs, 40 inch chest, but i feel I would like wider seats for better comfort. The Corbeaus look like the lower cushion is flatter before the thigh bolsters come up and the back also looks to be wider before the side bolsters stick out.

Any feedback form anyone who owns these seats would be greatly appreciated. Sorry for the long post,

Thanks!

I am almost even considering the A4 wide for more comfort, after looking at the dimensions. Thoughts?

I believe you will need brackets. Not sure how to about installing them, maybe with the OEM points.

2. Would it look weird if I only installed it on the driver's side?

There are many cars where it's installed only in the driver's seat. Up to you whether or not you like only having one seat or both. Can always do the passenger side later. My friend has a Miata; bought LG1's and did only the driver's side. Looks odd because his passenger seat was completely OEM. Since the Z already has sporty seats, the A4 won't look so out of place.

3. Is the lower cushion angle adjustable at all like the Z seats or does it only slide forward/back and recline?

Cushion angle is not adjustable, although I'm sure there might be a way to fab something up. Remember that race seats are often chosen at a specific angle for what people consider "perfect driving position." I.e., there might no way at all.

4. Would one fit in our hatch or front passenger seat somehow (to bring to the shop for install)?

Highly doubt it will fit in your car. Could always try. Don't scratch anything!

5. Will the Corbeau A4s meet my needs? My main beefs with the stock seats that they don't feel wide enough. The side bolsters pinch my sides/lats in DD and I would prefer them to be further tot he sides or maybe not so angled. I did plenty of research on the A4's myself for when my stock seats get worn down. They are reclineable and would move back and forth, but you have to opt for seat heaters, and lumbar support. I'm personally 6' 2" and 200 pound, and I find that they're not too bad, but they are sometimes a bit uncomfortable. Since you are in California, I'm sure you might be able to find a place selling performance seats, where you can try them out. Here in the Midwest, it's harder to come by.

Any feedback form anyone who owns these seats would be greatly appreciated. Sorry for the long post,

Thanks!

Are the seat heaters coolers as well and do they easily hook up to some existing controls in our car? How do you adjust the lumbar support? From a picture I saw online, it looked like a inflatable cushion with a squeeze ball pump attached to a cord.

So I found a place that had some Corbeau seats on display to sit in. The A4 is not for me. It squeezes my shoulders forward and in big time. Probably great for holding you in place on the track, but not for DD, unless you have pretty narrow shoulders. I also sat in a LG-1 and that one was great. Thigh and side bolsters were wide enough for me to fit in between them as opposed to have them pressing into me like on the stock seats. I am seriously considering picking up a pair og LG-1s if work isn't slow the rest of the year. They may be a Xmas present for myself.

if the seat fits, looks fine and is comfortable, I don't see a problem with it being priginally made for jeeps.

I completely agree. That is the reason I wanted to highlight some of their performance seats because they have a lot to offer.
