Default Is the AC dependent on Bose HU working?

My Kenwood 9990HD recently died, so I removed it and put the old Bose HU back in. The Bose HU would start up, and I could hear the cd changer clicking. After that, it went silent and would not power on. My AC also no longer powers on. I rechecked all connections, I have the 4 cables connected to the back of the Bose, and the cable below hooked to the AC unit. If my Bose for some reason died, would that shut off the AC as well?

I fixed the problem. I forgot to connect the AC Amp. My AC works now, and the lights on the Bose HU light up, but it still won't turn on. Kind of strange because when I plug in the power, I can hear the cd changer moving.

They are independent of each other. Triple check your wires and also make sure you have the amp connected in the event you didn't use it with the ken wood. Ever consider a fuse or power issue? Maybe that's why the other unit died.

The fuse plugged directly into the Kenwood was good. I also verified it was receiving the proper 12volts. I will be taking it back to the Audio shop that installed it. There's no way both units have died.

I must of done this when I removed my radio the other day cause the AC wouldn't turn on. I wondered what the plastic bar that was mounted beneath the radio was.
