From the factory.................. after you drive off, when you hit 15 MPH, the doors automatically lock...... safety feature. Instructions in your owners manual how to unprogram it if you want.

Oh yea, that thing happens to me as well, and I swear I haven't accidently pressed the button, even though the key is in my pocket. Weird.

Forrest, I don't know if this fits your circumstances or not, but if you unlock the car and then don't get in or open the door, the doors will automatically relock after a short amount of time. They're designed that way. Any time I deliberately unlock my doors for cleaning or whatever, I make sure to open the door, then shut it. The act of opening the door disables the automatic re-lock.

You are correct. Just tried it and it took about a minute to re-lock.

For a while I thought it was a glitch because now that you put it that way that's the exact situation when the door locks would lock. I"ll try to remember. Thanks for info

I realized I didn't have the key on me after I locked the car and started to walk away. I knew I had just driven the car so the key had to be either on the ground near the car or inside it. Touched the access button and, voila, the door unlocked.
If that's the case, then I guess if someone wanted to car jack...they'd just need to push the button to unlock it from the outside?

So much for that extra piece of mind (if that's the case)
