I know for a fact women can't tell cars apart. Maybe he thought the birth controls pills were candy.

tjlazer 06-26-2012 03:52 PM

It does don't deny it cuz. lol

I don't know, it just gives it a boxy look. It's alright, I do know it is much more functional though and great for a FMIC and brake cooling ducts...

Dumb question, which material is more sturdy? The material used to make stillen bumpers or frp? And why?

martin82 06-27-2012 04:15 PM

stillen bumper is made of urathane vs FRP/Fiberglass. The frp/fiberglass pretty much has no flex, it will just crack/shatter when hit, vs urathane is very flexible (sometimes it sags).

So far no issues with my stillen one, I will have my track testing this weekend at laguna seca I will report back.

sure, and yes, factory sides. Only body stuff is bumper and wing.

martin82 06-27-2012 05:13 PM

I have the stillen sideskirts sitting at home, they are very flimsy....

Poly:- somewhat heavy, bends and flexes instead of breaking,

Fiberglass: possibly the lightest depending on how thick, cracks, chips, breaks, expensive to have a shop fix it. But pretty sturdy also.

Xplicit97 06-30-2012 07:01 PM

Looks like this idea is gaining popularity

I love it. I got mine after Stillen corrected the design and Ive had no issues. Just make sure you go to a quality body shop.

Did you have to cut the "fangs" or do they come sepreately?

SPOHN 06-30-2012 07:41 PM

Fangs are seperate. There to be used with there brake duct kit.

I was shocked. Do the stock ones not work with this clip? You can have mine if you pay for shipping.

Mike 07-01-2012 09:04 AM

no, stock won't fit.

So the fangs are a necessary part of the car or can I leave them off? Not a big fan of them.

SPOHN 07-01-2012 02:49 PM

No there not needed. They are totally seperate that are bought seperate. There only need to run there brake but cooling kit.

martin82 07-02-2012 11:23 AM

I'll definitely take the reservoir! My stock one is blocking one whole side I had to trim the crap out of the bumper....

Ok. PM me your address. I'll ship it tomorrow. And after I ship it I'll tell you the cost and you can paypal me the cost. That's sound good?

martin82 07-02-2012 05:40 PM

Sweet thanks!! (Just don't ship a box of shhh.t LOL!!!)

SPOHN 07-02-2012 05:45 PM

I do have a box of peanuts

blackbird 07-10-2012 05:26 PM

I had an early one, had it painted and installed. Straight to the dumpster. Got a second one and also GTM Stage II turbos. Ballistic Motor Sports installed it with grills and widening the openings. needed them widened to allow for the Turbo plumbing. Nice to hear Stillen modified their original design. Is the tip on the side still a separate piece?

Yes. This was to keep cost down shipping wise. If not the overall height would of made it go into freight shipping and cost goes up about 75%.

martin82 07-10-2012 09:29 PM

anyone have the fangs on this bumper that they don't like? I need a set...... For brake cooling ducts, I order my cooling brake kit though Stillen but for the stock bumper before I even knew I was going Stillen.....

Anyone have issues with is sagging or deforming under heat?

nightwish 09-03-2012 06:15 PM

Can't wait till the holidays to get this ..it's going to look sick with a mishimoto intercooler in black with the white lettering poking out...I think I'm the only one that didn't like the amuse front....

Vichtz 09-03-2012 07:47 PM

I finally got mine about a month ago I guess. Holding up well to Texas heat

I don't like the amuse front either. I'm getting my stillen front and amuse rear, with evo-r high wing installed when i get the money for the body shop. hopefully it looks ok

nightwish 09-05-2012 04:33 PM

Bandit just don't park next to a Genesis or the veloster and you will be fine unless stillen has plans for a Hyundai front end, that would be too funny, both different types of cars has matching kits and wings

LCR Autowerks 09-05-2012 08:38 PM

Front bumper Looks good!

luckylaki 09-25-2012 07:51 AM

I love the look and ready to get one but my concern is the ground clearance of the stillen compared to the stock. Is it about the same or much lower. Does any one have dimensions.. My drive way is messed up. I scrape the front lip pulling in head first but not when i back it in. Not looking to repave my driveway.

Mike 09-25-2012 08:03 AM

Its not necessarily lower, but it sticks farther out than the stock one, so the angle from the tire to the bottom of the bumper comared to stock is less, giving less clearance going up a driveway.
