Uncomfortable Headrest
Hi Everyone,
This is my first post (sorry I skipped the into thread) and I hope to participate frequently in this forum. I recently picked up a 2012 370z Roadster and overall love the car, except for the annoyingly too-far-forward headrest. I understand this is some type of safety measure pretty much all manufacturers are using now, but does anyone have any advice to solve this problem...different headrest, how to tilt the headrest somehow, etc? Also, some background: I'm 28 and live in Pittsburgh. Some past rides include a 94 300ZX, 03 G35 Coupe, 06 G35 Coupe, and now the 12 Z. Thanks! |
I had a solution but then I saw you lived in Pittsburgh

Don't worry...I'm not a full-blow Yinzer with Steelers tattoos.

I had the same issue in a roadster and opted for the coupe so that I could recline the seat more and that fixed the problem for me. As for the drop-top part, I installed a sunroof and all is good.

It's so annoying how it's set up. After researching it, I guess it's almost mandatoy with all newer cars. I wish I could just bend it back even 3 inches or so. Just figured I'd see what you guys might know, but I think I'm searching for an answer that just isn't there. I traded in my Audi TT coupe on this and I love the style of this car much better, but miss the comfort of the Audi.

Makes for a good excuse to save up for some nice aftermarket seats.
I lean the seat back a little more than I would if it were flat. Not the ideal solution, but it's more comfortable for me to sit with my upper back unsupported than to sit with a crook in my neck. |
