Pain in the backside
Tackled installing my euro fog light (with switch and harness) this last weekend. What a pain that was. I could't get the nuts holding the dummy light on off for the life of me. nothing but spinning
so we had to use a little forced action. http://www.the370z.com/members/livet...ight-front.jpg http://www.the370z.com/members/livet...light-back.jpg Drilled out the dummy. I would have rather saved it but there was no way it was coming out! |

The part where the screws go on, the stubs, are pretty flimsy and crack easily. I think I heard a slight 'crunch' when I was putting on the actual fog light, which is way worst than the dummy. I must have overtightened a bit ....oh well. At least I know it's not going to fall off...I hope.

Got lucky with this myself. Since so many others had problems I knew going in it would be an issue. So when I put my wrench on the nut I went VERY VERY easy. No sudden jerks or forced leverage. If you do that at any time you are screwed, because once it starts spinning you're done. So as David Coverdale once sang, just take her down Slow and Easy......
I like this new technique though!!!!! Simple and effective. Just drill through the lens!!!. Awesome.
