Mines CF lip Install help!!
So I put on the lip today with 3M double sided tape and screw in 1 bolt on both the bottom corners of the lip which are the only holes that match up to the oem bumper, is that enought to hold the lip while going high speeds? And will the tape comes off if i wash my car alot?

A few bolts up front doesn't hurt. I have a varis lip and I took my z well over the speed limit and it didn't fly off. But a small crack turned into a bigger one from the downforce.

I always recomend 3M urethane silicone for mounting lips.. it sticks to either FRP CF or PU extremely well, I have a ebay cheap sunline replica lip and went top speed several times, a few bumps, it's still very secured...
But remember it will be hell to take it off later. http://images.oreillyauto.com/parts/.../mmm/08693.jpg |
there's no where i can put the screws in the front, the only place i can drill a few holes is the back, where the plastic and the lip meets.
that can looks dangerous hahaha, drove around going 45mph and it's still held on good but my heart stops a few time the faster i go, i just want to know what else i can do beside the tape and the 2 screw at the bottom so i don't have to worry about it coming off. |
If you used 3M adhesives promoter pads before you put the double sided tape on then it won't come off.

Note once you stick the tape on you won't be able to pull it back off to reposition it. |
will it mess up my paint if i decide to remove the lip in the future?
