Anyone know first of all what this piece is called and where to get it in black vs painted matching the car color? Like the black piece in this thread

Its called a Rear Diffuser and there are vendors that sell that add-on piece

it's not an extra body piece, it's just plasti-dipped. there are vendors that sell rear diffusers but that's not a diffuser.

Oh ok, so guys just mask that section off then put plastidip on it? Is there any writeups on anyone doing that to this section?

Pretty much the same process as spray paint. The only tip i've seen is to put it on thicker than paint, more coats/layers.

look on the plastidip thread here in this subforum. there's a lot of tips about it.

the biggest tip i can give you is to spray it on quick, thick, and even once it's masked off. if you want a clean line when you remove the tape, pull it off before it's dry. otherwise you'll have to use a razor knife to separate the plastidip from the tape.
