Default questions about steering wheel lock..

I have a few questions... I saw the new thread about removing the fuse for the lock, but is it right that the new 2012 doesn't have the lock at all? So Nissan completely leaves the column unlocked on the new ones? If that's the case then I don't feel like I'd be losing any kind of "security" by disabling it...

2012 don't have a steering wheel lock you can check this by turning off the car and try to turn the wheel if it turns no lock your in good shape. But since you drive a 2010 you may want to check this out.

Yeah that's what I was originally looking at, but I was just going on the idea that if Nissan took the lock out of the 2012's then it must not really be a huge loss in the way of "security" for the car. I'll probably go ahead and remove that fuse talked about in that thread, is there anything else that you would lose in doing so?
