Dealership messed up my bumper

Hey guys I went in for an oil change on friday and just noticed today that the area where the front bumper meets the headlight on the passenger side now has a significant gap. I know for a fact that I have not driven into anything or been hit with anything between then and now lol.

What could have possibly been done during my service that would cause this problem? Any thoughts/comments would be appreciated. Pictures below.

Driver side for comparison.

check under the bumper. chances are they caught something (like a tire stop) while backing out.

the bumper is easy to remove/remount. check the DIY area. GL!

Just smack it back on with your hand it is only clipped in, I bet it goes right back in.

Now how did I know that:icon17:

In the first photo on the right side of the fender there appears to be two slight scratch or scuff marks there. Maybe it was hit or tapped, in a parking lot or something or scraped? IDK

true, but if there's damage, i'd want to leave it like it is and file a claim.

:iagree:

But it doesn't take allot to pop that corner of the bumper off.

Check your car before leaving the dealer! My car stays in the service area now until I pick it up because of $hit like that.

Take it back and let them deal with it since they caused it.

Now if you had done it? I would like someone said pop it back into the clip

I would loosen the bolt that holds the bumper into place under the fender liner.

Thanks for the replies guys.

Looks like I was able to gently push it back into place while going along the seam. Just a quick fix for now, hopefully it was all I needed to do. I'll take a better look tomorrow and see how its resting in regards to the fender clip.

Oh and hey, I'm new :D

Great forum here, I actually lurked for a while a few months back before I bought the car. Very knowledgeable group of members and you guys seem to be eager to help. Looking forward to sticking around and contribute where and when I can.
