Varis GT wing review + lots clear pics
I wanted to start a thread dedicated to the varis GT wing for a few reasons. The varis GT wing has been out for some time now, and for some reason it is highly unpopular on the forum, i know that everyone has his/her own taste and i respect that so should everyone else, but i feel that the lack of exposure that this wing has as oppose to the amuse wing ( which in my opinion is a great looking wing as well ) and the lack of pictures as well as different angels that we have of the GT wing installed on the 370z, to give us a better idea of how it will really look. Another reason i wanted to post this right here is for people who were in the same position i was when i was ordering the wing, i was kind of on the fence about it again because of lack of good pictures, and wanted to see the wing installed on a car other than black ( that is the color of the varis demo car that you can find most commonly on the internet ) because you cant really tell much of the shape of the wing on a black car, i wanted to see it on other colors, that would of certanily have made my decision easier, i finally took the chance and i am really really glad i went with this direction. Please find my thoughts about the GT wing below, again this is my oppioon only, i know im gonna write some stuff that will get me flamed here and get a lot of critisim from you guys, but again its only my opinion about it.
Quality: 10/10 varis has done an excellent job with this, once again the quality and the cf weave is perfect, they used the top quality clear coat to give it that clean clean finish and protection, once again varis have taken me away with their top notch qulity by far the best cf quality i have seen for out cars to date. Fitment: 10/10 fit like a glove, install was extremely straight forward fit like oem even the most basic installer will be able to handle this job, every thing you will need to install the wing is included in the package, and best of all it covers the oem holes, so there is no need for filling or fabrication required what so ever. Functionality: Now here is where many of you might disagree with me, but i personally feel that this wing is much more functional that the amuse wing, dont get me wrong i love the amuse wing, and been driving with it on my car for over a year now, but i feel that the amuse wing really holds me down during acceleration maybe because of too much down force i dont know im no expert in this lool, as oppose to this where the car just accelerated, as for on sharp turns, you can feel the car more stable, i am now more confident with sharper turns. What i loved as well with the varis is that you have the option of adjusting it, there are 3 adjustments to it and wing can be adjusted according to your needs in a matter of minutes, just unscrew the top part and screw it in one of three holes that are already pre-drilled, you will see that more clearly in the pics below. I have included as much pics as possible of the GT wing from different angels, I decided to pair it with the amuse rear bumper, and to me and this is just me, it looks better with the bumper than does the amuse wing look with the amuse bumper :P I hope that i gave you guys a better idea about the wing and hope that this wing does get the respect it deserves, it is truly a work of art and one of the best wings we have for our cars, just highly unappreciated, again pics do not do this any justice what so ever, and for you guys that are on the fence about this wing, i say go ahead with it, trust me you wont feel sorry that you did. P.S i know that this thread is for the varis wing but threw in a few pics of the car from different angles showing side skirts cuz i know a lot of you guys were interested in pics of that as well |
