Not there when the car was purchased, it has just been there the past 2 days (maybe there was some heat cycling outside). I did point it out to the techs and they said it was sap and that it would come off with alcohol. I will be following up with them and will get better pics.

Tried to get better pics today but it didnt work for me. I've noticed multiple other spots which I think are new, and in other areas the clear coat is cracking.

There are literally dozens of these spread over all metal body panels (mostly hood). As you can see on one of them, it is tracking along a scratch in the clearcoat.

That looks like a bad touchup paint job- covering scratches or areas from rock chips and the like. Otherwise, it's oxidation (rust) under the paint, which I don't really think is the problem.
edit: not to mention your paint is a disaster. use some detergent soap like dawn and strip all the crap off, then claybar the crap out of it. |

^ The paint just has a bunch of dust on it in the pics. It has a decent coat of wax and is otherwise pretty good. |

Also, it's not touch up paint because it's clear.
(and I havn't put touch up paint on the car). Also it would be wierd if they had touched it up that the front bumper is fine, and the sides and rear deck have rock chips. |

In the last pic it looks like a blob of touch up covering two small scratches. As far as it being too close in color... I'm not too sure what that means in relation to this pic. Definitely doesn't look like there was ever clear coat over it. On the others where it looks like its bubbling under the paint... that's what concerns me a bit more.

op, i'd suggest taking it to a paint shop just to get their opinion. otherwise, you could consider using a dual action polisher to fix those scratches and also see what you can do about correcting these blobs. IMO, though, nothing will beat an expert's opinion when they can see it for themselves.
let us know how it turns out |

If this is a brand new car I'd raise hell about it.
Good luck op
