Cubby Door
So I've done a few searches and even looked at the DIY section, but maybe I'm just not searching well enough!
I'm trying to figure out how to remove the cubby door without destroying my interior. I didn't mind "experimenting" on my Z33, but I'm scared to even touch my Z34 Nismo. lol. In the end, I want to put a tablet mount in the cubby to hold my tablet.

i dont remember exactly, but i think you need to take that entire trim piece out inorder to undscrew the hinge on the back. check the stereo install DIY's on how to remove that piece. it's not difficult to do (ive done it like 5-6 times already).

OP, what a coincidence! I was researching this myself today. If I have time this weekend, I will be experimenting. I also want to install a tablet in the cubby hole. I was originally thinking iPad, but, that will look ridiculous! Maybe when/if the rumored 7-in iPad comes out!

I am not 100% sure on how the upper cubby piece is removed as an audio shop handled my install. I would assume the outer dash piece (where the A/C vents are) will have to be taken off and then from that it is probably bolted or screwed in.

Damn, thanks Dreamer. I had edited my post because I asked where your album was and realized it was part of your signature. Thank you for saving me the time of scrolling through your 50 pages of your journal thread lol.
You have a nice set up. I want a bigger screen I don't mind covering the whole cubby hole itself with the tablet.

7" screen, same size as the OEM screen just requires some custom mounting to fit it since it is slightly different.
