Factory gauge cluster shift light wiring

Hey guys, Anyone know if the shift light on the 370 is part of the gauge cluster or is the signal coming from an ECU of some sort? I personally

I personally can't stand the light and would like to use a buzzer instead. I just want to see how much work is involved in it
