CF rear valance?

Does anyone make a CF rear valance that looks lick stock, not a diffuser, for the Z? I am thinking of getting the CF front upper trim and B-pillar covers and think a nice CF accent on the back would be nice, but nothing too big.

speedfreek 04-25-2012 02:15 PM

BlueBat on here has the CF vinyl wrap for the rear valence. I just ordered the gtr tails and third brake light tints from him last week.

You can check out pics of them on his website

Is it custom made for the rear valance or is it a wrap that can go over anything?

kenchan 04-25-2012 02:35 PM

bruce- i wish someone did. that was the question i asked 2yrs ago before i settled on the fujimura rear CF piece.

brucelidat 04-25-2012 02:41 PM

ken, so you're saying the bluebat wrap won't fit so well/look that great? do you have a link the this fujimura rear piece you are referring to?

brucelidat 04-25-2012 02:44 PM

nm, found it. It looks the same as the evo-r rear diffuser.

the wrap will fit right if installed correctly AND you plasti-dip or paint the very bottom plane of the exhaust tip arches.

Cafiax 04-25-2012 02:54 PM

if you check my album I have my rear wrapped CF

brucelidat 04-25-2012 02:58 PM

Looks pretty good, though i do see what Ken mentioned about plasti-dipping. That would make install a lot more time consuming and expensive (I do not trust myself to do the wrap). How do you like the rear diffuser, Ken? I like the clean stock forms and and am not completely sold on those ridges it has since I am not going to add a front lip or side blades.

yah, unless you use a brush :ugh2: you will probably need to remove the muffler section to paint the bottom of the rear bumper properly with a spray. also remember to do around the butt plug too.

i suppose you can use vinyl strips too...

as for the fujimura. yah, im not 100% sold on the faux fins but overall im happy with it. you can source one from 370Ztune or japanparts.com

Someone did... SpawnAero, and I'm still out $300.

brucelidat 05-10-2012 02:11 PM

I emailed bluebat with a question and instead of answering it, he gave me a one sentence reply asking if I had ordered yet. Does he have a website also? If all orders go through email, shouldn't he know if I have? I would like to order if my question is addressed, but I am still waiting for a response...

Drama long time ago when he was a vendor here and other forums. He seems like a good guy, but I guess he was swamped with various orders and whatnot. What he had was very promising. But several months to over a year wait was too much and people started asking for refunds. Most of us had to take the loss and move on. So as of now my rear valence is painted black even with the CF lip kit.

I'm pretty sure the CF vendors on the forum can produce something.

brucelidat 05-11-2012 11:48 AM

Yeah, I'm not feeling very confident with his lack of email response or his not addressing my question. How did you paint the rear valance? Did you remove the bumper and tape it off or did you plasti-dip? I'm not too familiar with plasti-dip and how it works.

Bruce, what was your question again? I may have mistaken you for another customer. I get tons of emails a day, though because of my busy work schedule, I cant always answer right away. I'd b more than happy to give you a call, just pm me your number. Also, I have my number posted on my email responses if you guys need to call me ;).

I am leaning towards having the fang area and rear valance professionally painted now instead of using the overlays. I could change my mind in the future and decide to try the CF overlays. If so, I will contact you then. I would like to know, however, if the front fang overlay come sin one piece or if it's 2. I've seen some where it's 2 and you can see the seam which I do not like. What overlay options do you have? Flat, satin, glossy, CF, etc. so I know what my options are.

brucelidat 05-16-2012 05:48 PM

a question for all you guys with wraps. Are they easy to remove and will they damage the paint coming off?

its actually 3 piece. The maine lip, then one piece each for each fang. This is the best way for an application standpoint, and the seams hardly visible. I offer stain/matte, glossy, and cf. With the cf, the seam is vertually unoticed due to the cf pattern. Can be removed with relative ease, with no damage to the paint .
