Plastidip'd the Fangs and Rear Valance of my 40th last night. I'll be posting pictures later this afternoon when I get home (was too dark last night to fully capture).

40th with Blacked out Fangs and Rear Valance
Plastidip'd the Fangs and Rear Valance of my 40th last night. I'll be posting pictures later this afternoon when I get home (was too dark last night to fully capture).
I had been wondering what this would look like with the dark grey paint of the 40th. Maybe some of you were also wondering. The best part about Plastidip is that if I don't like it I can simply remove it and it cost me $8! Stay Tuned! *If I like it, I'll probably do the emblems next Disclaimer: It was very overcast when I took the photos so I'm hoping there will be more contrast when there is actual sun light. Glad I got some pics before the rain started. This one shows the contrast a little better... Bonus pics of car with red wheel tape: ^Not the biggest fan of the red on the wheels. It's a little too bright of a shade of red and it isn't quite thick enough. Thought it was worth checking out for $9. Hope you enjoyed. Will update the pics once there is sunlight (on Friday).

I really want to see some pictures.... I bet a large area of matte black would look really good with the 40th paint.
As for the emblems; I've seen that in person on a 40th, and to me it doesn't look great. On the KAV paint the Plastidip's lack of shine and reflection make it look muddy dull and boring. I think a set of black-chrome badges would look fantastic tho. If someone only made a 40th emblem to match up with the dark badges that are out there. I do think the Plastidiped badges look good on white and bright colored Zs |

Sorry for the delay Gents, pics up shortly. Got home and found wheel tape on my doorstep so I had to put it on and see what it was all about.

Honestly it looks good but not really noticeable on that color.

With that lighting it definitely was hard to see. I'm hoping it will come out more in actual sunlight.

Also the color red I ordered seems to be a bit too bright, i'd recommend getting something a bit deeper in color if you can find it. Also, I recommend getting tape that is on a spool/aplicator vs. being cut up into individual pieces (which the kit i got was). The stripes are easy to put on, simply clean the wheels, wipe them with alcohol, dry then apply.

The plastidip looks great, I'm excited to get mine painted now. I personally dont like the wheel tape, but to each their own. Now im wondering how it would look to paint the emblems and door handels to match the car...
