30% I think

So I decided to go with 35% rear sides/back and with 50% front and passenger windows. I had it done this morning. I think it looks good. The 50% on the front sides looks darker then I thought it would be. He also took the tint meter to my front passenger window before tinting and it read 76% and that is stock.

is it really that bad in nj with the tints? I live on long island and me and my dad have always had tints on all the sports cars weve owned and never get hassled for them. Tints are 20% btw that we usually go with all around

Local town cops are the worst and that's where most of my tickets came from but I also got tickets on the highway. In NY or NYC I never have an issue. I also always did 20% all around or even darker. Now I am too paranoid and went much lighter.

that blows man... i dont have local town cops out on long island, just county cops and sheriffs, and they never pull me over just for tint. Even in jersey all the time your troopers never both me for my tint either, luckily lol

I did 35% all around, but now I'm thinking about going darker cause I really don't like people staring at me. It makes me feel uncomfortable. If I wanted them to see me, I would just roll my window down lol.

Maybe it's my speedy driving that attracts the cops.. haha

ive got limo on all windows...if u see seatbelt check or cop near u put windows down so they cant tell...

oh trust me i speed too... you dont wanna even know the amount of points ive had on my license over the years lol and ive never run a front plate on my cars either.

i say just f*ck it and get the tints all around

I have gotten more tint tickets then speeding tickets in my life. Havent had a speeding ticket in many years. But I got 4 tint tickets in the past 2 years. Currently i dont have a front plate as I dont have plates yet and debating the whole front plate thing. I had my Z tinted this morning and got 35% side rears/back and 50% front driver/passenger windows.

why the different % on each window? does nj have different legal limits on them? I know ny even on back windows the law states any tint is illegal

I'm currently running no front plate also in NY. I've got 35% all round. Anything more than 35% seems somewhat pointless because 35% isn't even dark at all. People getting 50% and more is not noticeable and no real effect.

NJ doesnt allow any tint on the side front/passenger windows so I wanted to go the lightest on those windows so the cops hopefully wont hassle me and went little darker in the back.

I agree but i have 35% in the back so the 50% fronts look darker and I just cant handle the hassle and ticket fines from the cops if I went darker.

I have 20% all around my z34 except the windshield. Cops really dont bother you unless its extremely dark and they can't see you. It's a safety reason.
