Again... I just bought this car, I did none of this to it. I am looking to fix this crap so it don't look like it's been through hell and back.

Courtesy parts will likely have the rubber seal. I had to replace a ripped seal on the top of the door where the window meets it. Somehow it got a clean slice in it. Not cheap to have replace but if you have the sealant and know what you are doing I'm sure you could install yourself and save labor costs.

It's not just the rubber seal? There is actual sealant behind it?

i speak from experience (this was back when i was a teen and didn't have much access to detailing products)..

first armorall leaves behind a greasy shiny mess. it makes visibility out of your windshield almost non-existent on a sunny day due to reflection of your dash onto the windsheild.

after application, top surface of panels have cracked after being exposed to the hot sun.

permanent stains left after water hits it... you would have to keep applying the crap or else it will look terrible with stain marks.

if one made the mistake of using armorall, get some dish soap or Griot's InteriorCleaner and wipe off all the crap. then get either Aerospace303 or PrimaNero and re-apply.

you can also get 303 at boat stores like West Marine if you just want to pick some up locally. And it doesn't take much. A bottle usually lasts me 2 years taking care of 3 cars.

Anyone know? Seems like just the seal but someone implied there might be sealant in there too....

If you bought the car from a dealer I would take it back to them and have them order you a new one and have them install it for free.

They should take care of you.

Good luck!
