What are the "fin" type things that go on the bumper?
Hey I am looking for something I used to see a lot on the 350z but I don't know what they are called.
What I'm talking about is the carbon fiber pieces that kinda look like fins, and they are attached on the sides of the front bumper. Does anyone know what I am talking about? |
Canards?

They're called canards.

Why can I not find many threads about these? Are they considered to be RICE? I guess it doesn't matter because I can't find any made for the Nismo bumper. But I thought they looked pretty cool

Canard or duck in french. :tiphat:

I know the Z at around 150mph, she starts to float in stock sport trim so these would be nice.

Most street cars put them on for show.
|
Stillen makes them:
STILLEN : STILLEN 370Z Front Splitter & Canards |
Fire has them.

Go look at DTM race cars....those things are really all canarded up...front and rear fenders. Unlike our NASCRAP "stock" cars, they (DTM) really do use the actual car shell or body for race cars..so they needs lots of aero effects.

Yuck!! But those lower holes in the bumper might make good openings for the Stillen brake ducts.
