I've already done the 6MT shifter console swap, so just looking to get a nicer looking shift knob. I was hoping PW:JDM would take their mod 1 knob and just make the bolt in the head free floating so it could be depressed to engage the transmission, but I guess that idea never went anywhere. I love the look of that shifter knob. :shakes head:

And as for the UAM Shifter thread, I just posted in it... So I don't think it's locked. :ugh2:

Added ya.

UAM reopened the thread. For anyone who might not know. They are continuing the R&D on the shift knob. Thanks you guys for posting up. Now they know they have customers for this project. :)

I'd really like to see someone offer a G37- or GTR-esque shifter knob set up. I'm guessing it wouldn't be cheap, but would be worth it if it looked both OEM and better than stock.

Take a look at the frs auto interior photo. Their auto-stick makes ours look like shyyyttt.

Was just in a GTR, I love that little low profile shifter. I'm in for GTR style. Our shift boot is freakin huge. Actually scary moment happened, was trying to change the radio and accidently hit the shift boot and threw car in neutral, luckily I was only going 30-40mph otherwise it would have been bad. I thought my tranny went or something then I realized I was in neutral.

Ok guys I found this looking around ebay.. It may even be able to fit other shift knobs too. This appears to be for the shift knob and adapter for autos.. The knobs on this aution looks kinda lame, but they make all kinds of different ones, and I'm guessing will fit other manufactures shift knobs also.

I can help. I already have the carbon leather shift boot for 350Z. I can make something like it for 370Z. I can have knob CNC on what final design.

Baer383 05-03-2012 05:11 PM

It's actually not big at all it just big enough to get your 4 fingers around it,I just use 2 since removing the auto cover the shifter has almost no resistance making shifting quick and easy.
