JDM tail lights

i have a white Z, and i like the look on the JDM lights. i did a search, but only came up with "two vendors sell them on this site". i couldnt find which ones. if someone/vendors could post up, i would appriciate it. thanks!

Hey jon,
so far I think I have seen https://www.z1motorsports.com/g37_370z/index.php and 370Z Source carry that taillight. I'm sure other guys carry it as well. Feel free to send them pm.

racerxj17 06-05-2009 03:07 PM

700 bucks? wow. i was expecting the ebay ones to be about 100 ish, and the real ones to be ~350. oh well.

edeeZee 06-05-2009 04:06 PM

No offense to anyone, but those JDM taillights look so "ricey" to me...the Altezza look. JDM is no longer JDM, it's becoming Pepboy's racer-x look.

i like these alot :)

butters167 06-06-2009 09:02 AM

I think they look alright on white or silver, but I don't think I would put on anyother color.

Shunya 06-08-2009 04:38 AM

^lol yeah, white would be best with these

rreign 06-08-2009 10:51 AM

I'd like to crack them open and do a similar job like we are doing with the headlights

That was my thought too. I'm curious to see what a body color paint job would look like inside those.

IMO the clear tails thing has been waaay over done. That being said the JDM 370 lights do look really good. Especially on a lighter color car. Hell even on yellow it looks pretty good. Here's a pic. (Maybe I'm partial to yellow. ;))

Not $700 good though.

rreign 06-08-2009 04:26 PM

I want to do the headlight housing PG with the Z I'm getting and have the light surrounds done black. I think it would bad as all hell to have the JDM tails done similarly

I don't think so. I know there are 1-2 black cherrys that have them.

I love mine. So sexy. I just wish the 3rd brake light was white

You ain't seen nuttin' yet. Gotta keep up with the young'uns, even if it does take me 5 minutes to get in and out of the car...

I got a question about these lights. I was looking at the Japanese website for the 370z and it looks like they have what is currently the USDM tail lights. Are these actually an OEM product from Japan? Were they only on earlier versions or something?

I know it started in 2009-2010 and was not an option on the base model Z. Holy old thread Batman!

Well I thought it would be better to search and bump an old thread rather than create more clutter.

I guessing there's no legal issues with these in the US?

You should be fine. The older generation WRX hatchbacks (sedan maybe) had similar style lights from the factory.
