Has anyone tried these out? I'm going to get my front end repainted/worked on soon and kind of wanted to pick up just the side vents to a least have some extra venting/cooling. Think it would still be worth it? I just don't know if I like the look of the center vent - although obviously it would be more functional.

Let me bring this thread up. I've been thinking about hood vents lately and I'm not set on doing it yet, so help me out with your thoughts.
I'd go with two different pairs of scoops, ones to intake the air, the others to release it. These for the intake: and these two for release: The positioning (excuse the rough sketch) would be as such (size somewhat correct) It seems to me like it would work from a functional perspective, and aesthetically I think it would be OK. Any thoughts on why this idea is really bad?

Get the Tracspec. Make sure to get all three vents. The middle one removes a ton of heat front the radiator.

Hmm, those are going to cost an arm and leg shipped to me (Europe). Also, they don't seem to have an intake side, just exit direction. Is it as effective?

They work like a champ. I drive my TT 370z in over 100 deg weather with no problems. Without them, I would overheat in slow moving traffic for sure with the massive intercooler I have up front.

I have the Tracspec vents too. Work great.
Those 2 inlets you have at the rear won't work like you think.

Vented hood thread
Also skeptical about the two inlet vents at the back of the hood. Sure there is relatively higher pressure there at the base of the windshield but you want to be pulling air from the front of the car, through the coolers, and out the hood.
Trackspec vents are the go to, and they tell you where to place them for best cooling. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
