I have a bit of a rattle comming from the passenger door. Maybe worse because of the freezing cold lately.
a rattle is no big deal, most can be sorted. common on cars, much better on the Z than most. |

I've had this rattle in my car for over a year. It's been to the dealer several times and it's going back in this week. I actually got in the back while my wife drove around and determined that if I pushed solidly against the hatch the rattle stopped. Not sure what they can do, but they have to do something because it's driving me insane. |

I have a noise coming from behind the drivers seat, almost sounds electronic like a bad speaker, or a hollow metal against metal sound. Deff from inside the cabin behind the drivers seat. Haven't been able to determine if its the strut brace, truck cover thing, or a speaker.

I just got my car back from the dealer after 5 days for the rear hatch rattle. I'm not sure exactly what the rattle turned out to be but they said they insulated some areas in the rear and all seems good now. I still have to speak to the service advisor to get the details. I'll have to wait a few days to be certain because the first time I took it in for this it was temporarily fixed but it came back again after a couple of days.

Its not the fact it makes a noise its just that the noise it makes on mine is incredibly annoying. This thing rattles more than my 87 IROC-Z, and I think we can all agree that a 370Z is built to a higher standard than an late 80s Camaro.

I also have the rattles. I can here one coming from the passanger door and also a small rattle coming from the left side of the dash. Have heard the rattle from the hatch area a couple of times. I have 8500 miles now and it has been doing it for some time now. I know that I should take it in to the dealership but I know they will say they can't here it or can't fix it. I think it is a bunch of crap that these cars rattle like this for the price tag. I can accept after 30-40,000 miles on the car. I bought a 2000 Maxima new for $29,000 and sold it with 180,000 miles on it and it didn't have any rattles in it.
I DO LOVE MY Z THOUGH!! |

Just got back from the dealer........and the rattle is gone!!! After 13 months I had a quiet 30 minute drive. I told them to really check the 3rd brake light which they did, they adjusted the latch to make the hatch sit tighter against the seal, and they put a crapload of tape on all of the plastic pieces, and whatever combination it was, it worked. Hopefully it doesn't come back anytime soon!
