Default Water spots on vinyl roof? (pic included)

Just washed my car and after noticed bunches of spots on my vinyl roof. Never seen this before. Only thing I could think of was I left the soap on for too long and the sun got to it? Anybody know of any products to remove it and put it back to normal? It is nothing I can feel to the touch, I am worried its permanent :/

I tried that but did nothing. Its nothing on the surface at all. Its like its burned into the vinyl. I am wondering if I could try to use a compound and polish maybe.

It's just hard water stains, you can use anything that you normally would polish plastic with as well or just wash it again.

It happens to me all the time, I normally just QD it or even hit it with a little spray wax

Thank you for everyone's input but it looks like ill probably have to get it re-done :/

I literally tried everything, Spray wax, quick detailer, rubbing alcohol, rubbing compound, polish and it still looks exactly the same.

how long ago did you get your roof vinyl'd? and was it there back then? it looks like bubbles from a bad tint job. a squeegee should be able to get slowly push them out if its still new

Yeah, That looks like bubbles under the wrap - but surely you would have noticed them from day one? Looks like those ghetto DIY tint jobs you see on the back window of a '98 Corolla.

If they are hard water stains, you can also try some vinegar. *Disclaimer* I'm not sure how vinegar would affect the wrap so you might try a very diluted mixture first.

Ya it's weird. They are certainly not bubbles. The viynl Job came out perfect. It's like it was soap residue that somehow burned its way into the viynl

it looks like chemical reaction with soap+vinyl+sun (heat).

What brand of vinyl is that? Do you know?

Some of them have specific UV ratings and will deteriorate quicker in direct sunlight. I have a special Oracal windshield banner that is made for outdoor use and it looks as good as it did the day I put it on.
