Half plus one.

Consider a remedial math course..

7 lights have to be out, for the whole $20.!

It depends. Your fuel gauge indicators depend on your average MPG - not actual fuel left in the tank.

No it doesn't. The lights are calibrated to estimated volume remaining.

The miles remaining display in the LCD read out is according to your MPG.

^ Really? I thought I read somewhere in the manual about this. Well I guess that'll make me feel a bit better.

Yes - I noticed this today at the dealer while getting my oil changed lol.. its kinda cool... 16 gal tank w/ 16 little lights ... so ... for all the not so mathematically inclined that's 1 light per gallon of fuel left ha ha... Kinda neat actually - I like that more than the stupid needle

16 lights, 19 gallons. It would make a little bit of sense if there was 3 gallons remaining after the last light goes out, but that is too logical....... Ah me!

$20.00 divided by $2.70 a gallon=7.40 gallons

$20.00 divided by $2.70 a gallon=7.40 gallons

19 gallon tank divided by 16 lights=1.18 gallons per light

7.40 divide by 1.18=6.27 lights off, so you need "7 lights off" to get the whole $20.00 in the tank.

Correct me if I'm wrong!

Bingo ! That should do it........ except that I have been lead to believe the tank still has "x" amount of fuel in it after the last light goes out? Wouldn't that mean that each of the 16 lights equals less than the 1.18 gals?
