Great news, thanks for the reply EVO-R

Now whos down to get a Z with this wing in a wind tunnel for testing.. hahah

370Z JT 03-20-2012 11:17 AM

I think EVOR is referring to the old diffuser add on that everyone has on here.

Nitex 03-20-2012 11:52 AM

^ yeah i figured..

Im just curious if the aerodynamics of the over sized nismo wing will in fact add more down force, or any adverse effects.

Nitex 03-21-2012 03:34 PM

I was told a huge box is waiting for me at my house.. I can only assume my wing is already here..

I purchased on Friday, shipped on Monday, and is already here!

Shout out to The Z Store for great turn around time and customer service!

Pics when i get home. Then i need to call around to some body shops. Anyone know the general price for paint and install?

bjblackout 03-21-2012 03:56 PM

I paid $250!!

Nice. I want to see your wing. You in Seattle? You going to install yourself after paint?

Yeah we met at a Z meet about a year ago during the summer in Bellevue. So im local somewhat, up in Everett because of Boeing.

Not sure if ill install myself, but if it is just the factory bolts and some sticky tape i don't see why not.

I was so excited to order this today but they seem to be on backorder at the moment, so I guess I'll have to practice patience.

I know these use the factory holes but my hatch doesn't have any lip of sorts so will it be difficult to drill the holes myself?

CCastro 03-21-2012 08:00 PM

now I'm just whoring out the car... but if anyone else wants to see more pics of the wing

I was talking about the paint and install.

Nitex 03-21-2012 08:26 PM

^ Great pics man, are you using a 5D ?

I only have 2 bolts attached at the base of the wing. Are more supposed to come with the wing or do I just re-use the factory bolts? I can always get new ones also, just curious.

Weird.. the Red sold me... now the blue is making wonder if this is something i really want on my car.

No offense but something is missing.

tjlazer 03-22-2012 12:49 PM

I think it's the stock stance. He has since added spacers and a drop:

+1 and could be the wheels and the picture itself.

TongMan 03-22-2012 01:06 PM

The red looks much nicer than the blue.

It's some shaving to derease it's height or something. It a really nice spoiler just doesn't sit too well IMO.

tjlazer 03-22-2012 04:57 PM

I do like it alot but I just think it sits too tall @ 2". Maybe 1" taller would be ok. I don't know, I'm torn... UGH.

Why can't there be one like it that is an exact replica of the real Nismo one? Even the real Nismo uses the Sport holes to mount, unlike the other replicas that require 4 holes be drilled.

I think I am going to be forced to shell out $1,600 for the real one. (thats what the cheapest price is I found if you omit the Nissan double sided tape and extra screws you don't need if upgrading from Sport spoiler) Then again $1,600 vs $400..... :P

Absolutely stunning in red and am so glad I got lucky being able to get that color? Was it expensive to get it painted? I went to a few shops today and was told that a pint of the Nissan Solid red was roughly $100/pint and couldn't really believe it was so much for such a small amount of paint.

Should only cost like $200 to paint it. Any good body shop will be able to do it.

CCastro 03-22-2012 06:31 PM

Thanks for the comments... I paid 250 for painting for the wing and the lip... Homie hook up. The wing looks different probably because I am lowered with wheels... And the front lip, adds to the aggressiveness of the car. It's what I was going for, and what I got. I kind of what a GT wing but not when it is driven a lot, the car is tracked from time to time though.

Amuse370z 03-22-2012 07:01 PM

Better pictures of the ones in here?:

The Z Store! Nissan-Datsun 240Z-260Z-280Z-280ZX-300ZX(Z31/Z32)-350Z-370Z Parts: EVO-R Nismo High Wing, 09-12 370Z*

looks pretty good with the amuse kit and the painting is interesting.

3zworld 03-22-2012 07:16 PM

Do you have to have the middle bar ?

TJ, I still owe you some close up shots of the under side of the wing. Ill get to it tonight if i have time.

Also the body shop i just went to said they had to fill gaps and blems and flush the seams to make it look perfect.

They said because i was a return customer that they would give me the hook up price. So i was abit shocked when they said $446.76

Body Labor 2.5 hrs at 48/hr = $120
Paint labor 4.0 hrs at 48/hr = $192
Paint supplies 4.0 hrs at 24/hr = $96

Now they said the hook up was the free clear coat and spot touching a few rock chips..

I guess i should look around, but these guys are pretty good.

You should have them paint and prep it and install it yourself. It should be fairly easy. Remove the old one and slap this one on.
