EVO-R Licence Plate Garnish on Red Z
Don't know if anyone else has gotten this item, so if you were wondering what it looks like... here ya go.
http://www.the370z.com/members/jordo...40-zedwcf1.jpg http://www.the370z.com/members/jordo...41-zedwcf2.jpg I kinda dig it... I had a similar garnish on my old Celica -- this design is a little more simple, but I think it looks pretty nice. However, I'm not blown away by it either... will have to give it a chance to see if it grows on me :p And, while I'm at it, here's a another shot showing the spacing on the wheels for those who were asking. I Recently added 15 mm spacers to front and 20 mm to rear. Wheels are Nismo S-Tunes; springs and dampers are Nismo. http://www.the370z.com/members/jordo...43-zedwcf4.jpg :tiphat: |
I also think It needs to grow on me...I like it and also dislike it? Haha
I do think however that the red fog light would help break up all that black. How was install? |
i like it.... :D i always wanted to get this mod... but i ended up switching bumper :p

Install is a snap. There's double sided tape on the back, although the two license plate screws are more than sufficient to hold it firmly in place. I didn't use the double sided tape yet in case I decide not to keep it. I actually got it specifically to add a little cf to balance out the cf mirrors I'm having installed soon, but the mirrors are currently stock, so I'll reserve judgment until that at least. Quote:
Don't suppose anyone knows if it's possible to get a sort of opaque clear coat -- like a tint -- to make it appear a bit darker? Maybe just cut out tinting material? Hmm. |
I'm liking it Jordo!
Are you running spacers? If so, what size front and rear? |

nice looking ride, jordo. :)
|
I like it. Did youbuy from evor or thezstore?
|

sure can... use a tinting paint... i painted my landing strips on my lights with a tinting paint  check your paint store they might have it.. |
Thanks, guys
I'm going to stop by the place that did my window tint and installed my rear vinyl to see if they can apply tint to it for me. I think I'll go from on the fence to loving it after that. If not, I guess it will be up for sale :icon17: I bought it from EVO-R -- it was $184 shipped I believe. Wheels have 15 mm spacers in front and 20 mm on rear -- offsets for the S-tunes are like OEM Rays sport pack wheels. |
Hey, I ended up using that "nightshade" spray on tint -- worked great!
Behold -- before and then after! BEFORE: http://www.the370z.com/members/jordo...40-zedwcf1.jpg AFTER: http://www.the370z.com/members/jordo...06-zedwcf5.jpg Now it looks jet black from a distance and only up close can you make out the cf weave. Exactly what I wanted  Also, keep in mind that it looks darker both before and after in the pics than it did/does in real life -- rest assured that in real life if you look closely you can easily see the weave. Anyway, I am pleased :D |
OH YEA
much better! darker deff looks better! what exactly is "nightshade" spray? like a clearcoat...that goes on dark? and i just noticed this now,but do you have the stillen roof spoiler? |

I used this stuff:Night Shades Spray Tint - VHT Nite Shades NiteShades Nightshades*-*Mitsubishi 3000GT*/*Dodge Stealth Parts Came out waaaay better than I thought it would. Roof spoiler is -- amazingly enough considering the perfect paint match -- from ebay. I got it for like $65 shipped. Comes painted with adhesive and fits perfectly. I get at least as many kudos as boos for it, but I really like it so I'm happy regardless :icon17: |
you make me miss my roof spoiler :(
