Look for Stillen (they make their own brand as well as sell Setrab coolers) and Z1.
19 row cooler if you drive spiritedly on the streets or do autoX. 25 row if you do track days here and there. 34 row if you have a full on track car. Make sure that any of the coolers you get have a thermostatic plate in order to heat up the oil to proper temps. 180 is (in my opinion) the perfect temp for 5W30 oil.

The best one is the cheapest, most reliable and most efficient one
Who makes that is completely debatable. Outside of on the Z, I know many people have used this oil cooler without a single issue or failure: Oil Cooler Kits - Oil Cooler Kit with Thermostat Don't know of anyone with a Z that has them, but outside of making a simple bracket, I don't see why this wouldn't work while coming in hundreds cheaper than others ::shrug::

Is the only difference the volume of oil they hold?? (newb question) I need an oil cooler for auto x in the future. Long drives here in Dallas it'll get to 120-125degrees, just on the street

Don't buy the Tru-cool kit listed above... people have had issues with them because they aren't finned the same way as a Setrab...
I personally have a Setrab 25 row and it honestly cools too much for NJ (it is a bit thicker since it is a series 9) but I need to make a blockoff plate or downgrade to a 19 row. Also the standard Setrab brackets will mount up with preexisting holes on the Z's radiator brackets... no need for custom ones. You can peice together your own kit or go with Z1/GTM... those are the best options... If I was to rebuild a kit I would go... 19row Setrab Setrab bracket Hydrolic oil lines (clamp on fittings instead of the socketless ones) 180d thermostatic plate |

I believe when Modshack did his original install he used a Truecool... he eventually changed to a Setrab IIRC... I am pretty sure that the Trucools don't have a flow through design so while they are finned, air cannot pass through the cooler themselves (it is solid). Because of this they do not cool as well as a similarly sized unit. Obviously the extra oil alone will aid in cooling but the Setrab is much more efficient.
