PW 370z nismo broken front bumper.. fixable?? (lots of Pics)
It was a very sad day for me today..
I ended up hitting a concrete brick when making a u-turn (I know Im stupid I was on the phone and didnt see the concrete brick coming close when u-turning...) Im not too worried about the paint scratches as it can be fixed with sand paper and dr.colorchip(which wont get me the actuall PW color but close enough). What Im really worry about is that the inside piece that connects the bumper and the under bracket is actually broken and torn apart. Please give me an advice if it is fixable without replacing bumper. If must be replaced how much am I facing? |

Nope...
I would have a shop piece it together as a temp fix, untill you can fork over the 2k in parts/labor to fix it...

Sure plastic epoxy let it dry sand. a little light sanding and cover it with small amount of filler again sand. Get some spray touch up paint from a good paint dealer base coat clear coat mask off and blend buff and polish. Should look as good as new probably cost you about $150 in paint and supplies.
If the bumper is fiberglass then fiber glass matting and epoxy. Easy to work with and cheap you can but that stuff at Walmart. PowerBlock Magazine has many tutorials. Last edited by Compdoc777; 03-06-2012 at 09:08 AM. |

^ all the ones I have seen are damaged ones, there are some knock off ones though. The bumper is only like $400 new, as long as you have all the rest of the pieces and not doing a Nismo conversion. Looks like you will want the bumper and diffuser piece, so that is about $1000 in parts. The rest you should be able to use.

scottnismo- i suggest you get an estimate and contact your insurance to see how the repair cost will affect your premium. if it's worth it, then fix using insurance. if not, pay out of pocket or fix it yourself.
epoxy is a good way to get those broken pieces back together. usually the repaired area is stronger than the other areas. hahahaha. |

As Kenchan mentioned, some kind of epoxy would do the trick.
You could try JBWeld and some thorough sanding to get it flush. The hardest part would be the repaint, which would be best taken care of by a competent body shop. |

I work in a body shop and I could fix that in 2hrs would be good as new.
Any "good" body man can fix that with the right supplies.
