Cheap alternative to upgrading kick plates
 

I got bored today and masked off the Z on the sport kick plates and "painted" them with a metallic silver Elmer's painters marker ($3-4 at walmart). I think it turned out pretty good...

Unless they glow in the dark they don't really replace the illuminated ones. :)

I was thinking of painting mine blue to match the car.

I'd be a bit concerend about the durability of Elmer's paint on something as high traffic as a kick plate. :ugh2:

Try as you may, those things are going to get scuffed.

Held up right until I sold it. I was pretty careful getting in and out of my Z though.

Wait, my non-illuminated ones already have a silver Z on them. So some are just all black?
