I will get the name later. Pre fit the lip and secure it in place with some tape dont worry about the gap right now! Once you happy with the Pre fit, use a couple of self-tapping screws and secure it from underneath once your happy with the fit. My suggestion would be to do as I did, remove as many fasteners that hold the bumper from underneath as possible, that includes any that are holding the bumper to the wheel well. The idea is to get the bumper as flexible as possible. Take some blue tape and mark a few areas were the lip should be once it's installed. Now remove the lip and apply your choice of adhesive, re-install the lip and secure it from the bottom were you previously used the self-tapping screws then use duct tape to hold it in place. Now here’s how you fix the wheel well gap. Push the fender wheel well out of the way and take another self-tapping screw and screw the lip and the bumper together from the inside. If you look at the curved ends of the lip you will see the area I'm talking about. One side came out perfect and the other has a small gap that can be filled with some phenoseal. I'll take some pictures in a bit.
Thanks Tom, great information.

No aftermarket bodykit is perfect. Hell the original amuse kit from Power House Amuse needed a good bit of bodywork to make it fit and it was over 5k just for the kit.

Agreed! It's a good fit, it just needs a little tweak here and there. No big deal. As soon as I get a chance to clean it I will post up some shots.

For those who've had their lip painted, about how much should I expect to spend?

Hi guys,

amazing post tommy,

guys, i recieved couple of pm's regarding the fitment specially on the side of the bumper. so i got 3 lips from our workshop that went out from the exact same mold and did the test fit myself. and it did fit like a glove if you push the sides.

this kind of lip need to be installed carefully, thats why we dont recommend doubleside tape for the install.

- The bumper need to be removed.
- The lip need to be installed with the help of another person in order to get all the sides flush, its not a one person job
- We recommend using screws on the lower part and on the rear side parts to make sure the lip is holding properly and then in the middle use silicon for a flushy look.

we do test all our products before sending them. and we do have original 370z bumper and full interior kit in order to have happy customer, along the way some stuff happens but no biggy . i am sure you guys can handle it.

let us know how it goes guys.. and we will always be there to support you.

B.R
Naj

Thanks for the tips Tommy and Carbon Signal. I will remove my front bumper and get it fitted. I'm sure it will work out.

Thanks

Yeah gale, It'll fit.
It was 2 person job for my lip as well but when all done, it sits flush. (as i mentioned in previous posts, around 2mm gap was still there, but I filled it in with clear silicone - makes it look black after it cures due to reflections)

As for the edges where the bumper meets the lip, I fired up my creativity a little. My car is white, so the change from white to CF was way too prominent. So I cut up a triangle shaped 'addon' from the factory sport lip (which happened fit perfect if you cut the left and right edges of the sports lip), and used epoxy glue to 'hide' the white-CF borders.

I will post some pics later today to show you guys what I mean. I wasn't gonna use my SP front lip anywhere anyways, I thought i'd make some use out of it.

Cool idea, i still have my sport lip sitting. I have the carbon signal TS style carbon lip to put on my white Z. Not sure if i'll need to do something like this also, but a damn good idea.

The lip actually fits really well. There's just a small 2-3 mm gap on the drivers side about an inch in length.
We removed the bumper and drilled from the inside of the bumper so the screws would pull the lip in to make it fit.
Everything turned out awesome...
There was minor prep work needed, but all in all I am very satisfied.
Just like the real thing for a fraction of the price! (sorry jdm guys)
