Weighted Shift Knob Installed

The aftermarket shift knob companies don't want to pay Nissan royalties...it's the economy.

Another one bites the dust. m4a1mustang has given up on the stock knob already. Who will be the first person to remove the stock knob without destroying it? The honor is still up for grabs.

That is my goal when I get my B&M shifter in this week, though I will have to wait for my new shift knob to arrive since I need that to drive.

I'm still going to try, but I have decided that I would prefer a different knob.

How does the TWM knob feel in your hand? is it comfortable like the round shift knobs usually are? I am very interested in this exact shift knob but don't want to regret it after?

Thread Revival. I'm so glad you brought this therad back up. I'd like to report that I was able to remove the stock knob with bare hands. You just need the right grip.

Hope you held the shifter shaft with vicegrips.

Definitely. Get big enough vice grips, latch 'em on, and let the center console do all the holding.

I'm glad to hear this can be done. I was thinking about a new shift knob but I definitely don't want to destroy the stock one.
