Z's with Sunline, Aero Jacket, Shine Auto rear spats

Good to hear! They look great by the way! Mind posting up pics of the brackets?

Hey guys, hate to bump this old thread but I really some help.

I've got the Aerojacket spats. They are good finish, but don't seem to fit. I don't have brackets. For the last three weeks I've tried affixing them with 3M tape (4000 series) and the 2 supplied screws, Sikaflex adhesive (227, 252), 3M VHB tape, various industrial tapes, but the spats will peel away from the body after 24hrs.

I'm not very mechanically minded so making the bracket isn't an option for me, can I buy them from somewhere? Would they help solve my issue?

Go to Home Depot, or whatever you guys have over there, look at brackets. Put in a vice and bend by hand.

I'll give this a shot. Does anyone have any photos of the Sunline ones I can use as a reference?

So doesn't look like much, just additional support.

I can grab some stuff from Home Depot and make something similar...my Shine Auto Piece did have a hole pre drilled for a bracket/anchor

I just don't want this thing to blow off lol

Yeah I just got a set of these - funny thing is they came from EVO-r's factory in Taiwan. They arrived fine but passenger side has a pea sized dimple in one side - I will have to get my body shop to fill in and paint.

But yeah the fitment of these kinda worry me - I am sure my body shop will use double sided tape but they essentially fit like crap. And they should have provided a bracket or something for additional support underneath.

Will bring these to my body shop tomorrow - to see what they think

Just bought these from a member. I can't see the initial Sunline bracket picture, but from what I can gather, the bracket goes from the bottom bolt hole (I have two holes on the spats where the mud guard front would be)....to where? I haven't tried installing it but am not seeing where the other side of it would go, unless the bracket is basically just bracing the bumper from the top hole to the bottom hole on the mud guard area.

Also, any opinions on which 3M double sided tape to use? I remember using one on my old car for the front license plate, but the tape was kind of thick (1/8"?). I was worried using something like that because of the gap between the bumper and the spats. It did hold though.
